Kadir Yildirim joined Furman University in the summer of 2011. Dr. Yildirim holds a Ph.D. in political science from the Ohio State University. His main research interests center around economic liberalization, democratization, political Islam, and politics of the Middle East.
Dr. Yildirim teaches courses on comparative politics, politics of the developing world, and the Middle East.
Prior to joining the Political Science Department at Furman, he was a postdoctoral fellow in Regional Political Economy at Princeton University's Niehaus Center.
