Andy Pennock teaches courses in international relations, comparative politics, and public policy. He is currently working on several projects about income inequality in the United States and around the world. Additionally, Dr. Pennock studies foreign economic policy in the late 19th & early 20th centuries. His previous work has appeared in PS: Political Science and Politics.
Dr. Pennock has a Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Before completing his Ph.D., he consulted for the CDC and worked at the North Carolina state legislature. He also holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Political Science from Clemson University.
He is the recipient of two university-wide teaching awards at UNC, as well as one from the political science department.
