FYS-1216 International Security Threats?
Since the end of the cold war and even more so after 9/11, international security threats such as terrorism or rogue states are seemingly ubiquitous. This seminar critically engages phenomena of international security threats. It discusses their dangers, but also the possibility of them being exaggerated or even fabricated and it asks what goals such strategies may serve.
FYS-1121 Rogue States
Rouge states are considered to be outlaws in the international system. They are said to engage in the production and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the sponsoring of international terrorism. This class discusses the security threat emanating from rogue states in a post-cold war and post-9/11 world.
