Scholarships and Discounts
Recipient of a
scholarship to camp this summer? Congratulations! Scholarship funds
coming to Furman from outside organizations are due by
May 15.
Please be sure the presenter of your scholarship is aware of the deadline.
Scholarship funds can be used for private lesson fees! If
receiving a full scholarship, submit your application with a $100 check to hold your
place in line, but also
include an official letter of award from the presenter
so we know from where the balance of funds will come. Should you learn you won
a scholarship after you applied and paid your camp cost, we will refund the
appropriate amount to your parents immediately following camp.
All-State Honors Discount: Students earning placement in this school year's South Carolina All-State Honors Band/Orchestra/Jazz Ensemble (or the equivalent in other states) are eligible for a tuition reduction. This is a discount, not a refundable scholarship and applies only to the cost of tuition (not private lessons or room/board.)
If eligible, you will select one of these options:
- $100 off - Student LISTED as SEATED in the All-State Band/Orchestra
- $ 75 off - Student LISTED as an ALTERNATE to the All-State Band/Orch
- $ 50 off - Student LISTED as SEATED in the Region Band/Orch
Proof of placement due by May 15. South Carolina students: we have access to the state lists, so you do not need to supply proof of placement. All those residing OUTSIDE the state of SOUTH CAROLINA, proof of placement is needed. An email or letter from your director via their school account or a copy of the official concert program or other official association document with your name hi-lighted is sufficient. NOT ELIGIBLE: County or City ensembles or Alternates to Region ensembles. In some regions of South Carolina these alternate ensembles are sometimes referred to as 'Concert' ensembles - they are actually alternates to the seated region ensemble. Call us if questions.
Sibling Discount: $100 per child
To earn the sibling discount,
brothers and sisters must be from the same family/household.
Child of FU
Employee Discount: $150 per child
Employees must
be currently employed by Furman University and provide
department name and
department phone number on application for verification.

faculty / camp faculty! Select the 2 or 3 lesson option on the

lessons with us for expanded study. Never taken a private lesson? You will be
