Vivian Hamilton is one of the highly experienced piano and voice coaches at Furman. She has taught choral music and collaborative piano across the country and conducted choirs at a number of universities, including Simmons College, Emerson College, Northeastern University, University of South Carolina and Clemson University.
As a church musician and conductor, Hamilton plays an active role in the community. She has worked with a number of orchestras and choirs in the South Carolina area, and served as president of the South Carolina American Choral Directors Association. Currently, she is the principal keyboard for the Greenville Symphony Orchestra and the minister of music at Greenville's First Baptist Church.
