General Admission Requirements

To be admitted to our Graduate Studies in Education program, you must meet the following requirements before you can apply for admission:

  • A SC teaching license or equivalent (or eligible for licensure).  Note:  Professional level license is needed for School Leadership programs, and Admin certification is needed for Ed.S. in Educational Leadership program.
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution or a Teacher Education Program that is recognized by the South Carolina Department of Education.
  • A minimum GPA of 2.75 in undergraduate coursework (3.0 preferred).
