Furman University offers a summer program for students between the ages of 6 and 14 with academic or behavioral needs. The summer programs provides an individualized educational program; a low teacher-students ratio; innovative, but also sound educational practices; and a final report sent to parents. Before the summer program begins, each student is evaluated individually.
The daily program includes academic as well as social goals. Classes are based on a 4 to 1 teacher ratio, with the classes for younger students having even lower ratios. Final reports are given to parents and to the school, if requested by the parent.
