Information & Procedures
Class begins June 10, 2013

By May 24, 2013, please submit the following:
|
1. Graduation application to the Office of Graduate Studies. If this is the first graduate level course you have taken at Furman, a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $50 should also be included.
|
2. Application for Gifted and Talented endorsement classes for Free Tuition Program.
|
3. Photocopies of transcripts for all undergraduate/graduate level coursework.
|
Once you have been accepted, you will receive a course registration form.
|
Cost:
Your textbook will be included at no additional charge. |
Course being offered: EDCI 676 Curriculum and Instruction for Gifted and Talented Students
Course participants will construct independent study guides and sample curriculum units that incorporate appropriate planning, pacing, instruction, and assessment for gifted learners. Prerequisite: EDCI 675.
Class Dates: 6/10/13-6/26/13, Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Teacher: Sara Newell. Location: Sterling School/Charles Townes Gifted Center.

*Free tuition based on the following:
- teachers who have already completed one of the two endorsement classes and are currently teaching GT students*
- teachers who are currently teaching GT students and have not taken a class or those who have completed one class and are assigned to teach GT students during the upcoming year.*
- teachers who have not completed any courses but who are assigned to teach GT students for the upcoming semester or school year.*
*School district verification is required.
