Award Description

Celebrates alumni of Furman’s Education Department who have achieved the highest level of professional or academic accomplishment and demonstrated service to the community and/or to Furman University.

Ideal candidate must:

  • Be a graduate of the Education Department at Furman
  • Have achieved significant recognition or accomplishment in their chosen field of education, community service and University service.
  • Be able to accept the award in person and participate in the award recipient panel discussion and awards ceremony/dinner at the Teacher Education Banquet in March 2020.

Nomination Guidelines

The application process is simple and open to all. We encourage you to nominate someone you know for this honor or feel free to nominate yourself.

When submitting a nomination for the award please submit the following: Official nomination form and A 1-page candidate overview or letter, which establishes the nominee’s credentials

Eligible nominees will be reviewed by a committee comprised of Education Department members
