Each year, an outstanding economist is invited to deliver the American Enterprise Lecture, funded by Marsh & McLennan.
The Visiting Scholar program brings to Furman's campus an economist with notable research achievements in an area of interest to faculty and students.
The purpose of the Political Economy Forum is to bring together students and faculty to discuss important economic policy issues. During the Forum, a short position paper will be presented by a student or faculty member. A discussion among those in attendance will follow.
The Adam Smith Prize is awarded by Department of Economics to the winner of the annual paper contest in order to promote and encourage undergraduate writing and research in economics.
