Majors Activities and Clubs
The chair should work to ensure that the scheduling of departmental activities do not overlap. The chair may wish to create a departmental calendar in which all faculty members list major activities with which they are involved or for which they serve as a sponsor.
Chairs should oversee and be aware of all departmental social and professional activities. If departmental organizations require faculty sponsorship, unless the bylaws state otherwise, the chair should approve of all faculty sponsors.
