Emily Price currently serves as the Digital Strategist for Community Journals, the publisher of weekly newspapers Greenville Journal and Upstate Business Journal; TOWN and At Home magazines; and several other annual niche publications.

As Digital Strategist, her job is to adapt and tailor all of the Community Journals products to the digital age; build two websites that never before existed; completely re-envision and develop three other sites; manage digital content distribution; build not only the Community Journals brands and their audiences through social media efforts, but also local advertisers’; and strategize ways to create and offer uniquely digital content.

Under Price's direction, Community Journals launched upstatebusinessjournal.com in August 2013, the first of her site development initiatives. She has since designed and launched communityjournals.com in March 2014.

Price began her career in publishing in 2007 as a reporter for two of The Greenville News's weeklies, with a B.A. in English from Clemson University. She covered school news and then authored various lifestyle features.

After an explorative stint in public relations and copywriting at Erwin-Penland, Price returned to Clemson to gain her M.A. in Professional Communication with a concentration in Digital Publishing.

During this time, she worked as the Clemson football blogger for the Atlantic Coast Conference's blog network and subsequently served as the editor of the blog network.

This led to the completion of her Masters thesis project for client tigerillustrated.com, a franchise of Yahoo! Sports-owned rivals.com. She developed and introduced a weekly video series for the site for which she was awarded an Honors distinction by her project committee.

Before becoming an Adjunct Professor at Furman in 2012, Price instructed Freshman Composition in Clemson's English Department. Price officially joined Furman's faculty as an Instructor in 2013.
