Lived in Spain and England, during which time toured many prominent art galleries and archeological sites throughout Europe. Upon returning to Greenville, continued to travel, exploring sites of artistic and archeological importance in Canada, Mexico, Egypt, throughout Western Europe, as well as in the US. Member of the Society of Architectural Historians. Doctoral Dissertation published in 2008 investigated the influence of Antoni Gaudi on the works of Santiago Calatrava. Gave presentation on Vermeer at Greenville County Museum of Art in July 2009. Gave presentation on Brugel and his life and times for the Peace Centre Films in Focus series in March 2012. Co-authored paper analysing the stairway design by Zaha Hadid presented at the IDEC Conference, October 2012. Received grant from Converse College for development of online art history survey course in May 2013. Currently adjunct instructor for several Upstate South Carolina colleges and universities.

Arts of Pre-Columbian Society

Survey of art and architecture of Pre-Columbian societies in Mesoamerica and South America. Consideration of style, iconography and aesthetics and of the functions of art and architecture within each culture.
