Research and Professional Growth (RPG) Committee Grants

The RPG Committee supports the faculty member’s work as a researcher. The RPG has opened its webpage for the submission of fall-term grant applications, post-sabbatical reports, and post-project reports.

Please Note: While there is overlap between the faculty development and support interests addressed through RPG and CTL and the Faculty Development Committee, there is a basic difference. RPG is charged with funding projects that will enrich the scholarly and professional interests and roles of faculty that extend their stature beyond Furman. The Faculty Development Committee prefers projects that focus on building faculty expertise in teaching and facilitating learning. Projects that use faculty research skill to study and improve teaching and learning (scholarship of teaching and learning-SoTL) are particularly welcome.
