Jane currently serves as the CTL Director. Her background in
Continental philosophy (M.A., Vanderbilt) and literary theory (Ph.D.,
University of Florida) informs her interest in teaching and learning as
ways of organizing meaning--of which there is never enough, and always
too much!
Jane's teaching and research interests encompass,
among other things, ethics and social justice, narrative and
storytelling, integrative thinking and learning, epistemologies of
digital information and technologies, heuristics, and philosophies of
eating and food. Although she's taking this year off from teaching to
fulfill her interim CTL duties, she normally teaches IDS 59,
E-Merging: Learning Technologies, the preparatory course taken by student candidates for consultant positions in the StudioLab.
