Internships
The Business and Accounting Department strongly encourages students to participate in an internship. It is extremely important to take advantage of this invaluable opportunity to gain practical, "real-world" experience before entering the job market. The Internship Program Director, Susan Zeiger, in Johns Hall 204, Office of Undergraduate Research and Internships, works with students to find internships that relate to their areas of interest. Ms. Zeiger can be reached via phone 864-294-3166 or by email at
susan.zeiger@furman.edu.
For full-time summer internships, competitive funding programs exist in both the department (the Hollingsworth Intern Fellows) and at the university level (the
Furman Advantage Intern Fellows). In addition, students may receive academic credit as part of the
BUS 503 "individualized internship"
