Plunge into Chinese language and culture with this intensive program designed for high school students who have taken at least one year of Chinese, or the equivalent.
- Study and live on campus with native Chinese language teachers and undergraduate Chinese-speaking camp counselors.
- Interact with high school language partners in Suzhou, China via webcam.
- Build your language skills in morning classes, try your hand at Chinese cooking, Tai Chi, dance, and games.
- Enjoy language-focused field trips, including a hike in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.

28 scholarships are available
Funded by the National Strategic Language Initiative Startalk grant, expenses on Furman's campus including instruction, class materials, housing, meals, and activities are included in the scholarship. Accepted students will be required to submit a $400 deposit (which will be fully refunded upon completion of the program). Students are responsible for transportation to campus or to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. This camp is open to students from all states and countries (not just S.C.)
