Strategic Planning 2011
In October 2010, the Furman University Board of Trustees issued a
resolution charging President Rodney Smolla with leading a strategic planning process that would lead to the presentation of a plan by April 2011.
A representative
Strategic Planning Committee has been meeting since November to capture guiding themes and to establish a process for soliciting the participation of Furman’s many constituencies, ranging from students, faculty and staff to alumni, current Furman families and parents, and the broader communities of Greenville and South Carolina.
Throughout the early part of the Spring 2011 semester, the committee will gather ideas and suggestions in a series of public forums, small group meetings, and a survey. We hope you will take part in the many opportunities to participate in the development of this plan.
This website will be updated regularly so that you can see the progress of the plan as it unfolds.
