Recruitment
A formal process that encompasses two weekends in January designed for undergraduate women to visit all 6 College Panhellenic Chapters chapters.
Throughout the "parties" or "rounds", you will have the opportunity to speak with women about their sororities and become familiar with their values, ideals,
and activities. This process is broken into four rounds of events; First Round, Philanthropy Round, Sisterhood Round, and Preference Tea.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who will guide me through this process? You will be assigned a Recruitment Counselor, or a "Pi Chi". The sooner you sign up for recruitment, you will be assigned a Pi Chi and be placed in a group of other women who are going through the process. We encourage our groups to bond and get to know one another as much as possible. Your Pi Chi can help you with everything - when you're stuck on a tough decision, questions about being Greek, and even what to wear!
Do I need to attend Open House? You do not have to attend Open House, which will be on November 17th this year, but you are highly encouraged to participate. The sororities will be excited for the opportunity to meet women and it will provide you with a preview of what to expect in January. Register by no later than November 10th to be placed in a Pi Chi group for Open House.
What if I have letters of recommendation? That's wonderful if you do; however, do not think letters of recommendation are necessary at Furman. Please feel free to have your references send their letters to the addresses below:
