Summer Orientation
Summer Orientation focuses on the nuts and bolts of class selection. You'll attend one of five two-day sessions dedicated to ironing out class selection and other academic prep details. These sessions prepare you for the classes you'll be taking during your first semester. You'll work in small groups and one-on-one with academic advisors to select classes. Choose the date that works best for your schedule:
- June 17-18
- June 20-21
- June 22-23
- June 25-26
- June 28-29
Keep in mind that Summer Orientation is also home to Parent and Family Orientation. As you prepare for the academic programs on our campus, your parents and family will be given an overview of what to expect during your four years at Furman. The cost is $150 per student, which covers meals and staying on campus for the student plus meals for one parent or family member. Additional parents/family members attending will be $30 each. Students will stay in one of our residence halls during Summer Orientation, while parents and family members will need to reserve a hotel room in the area.
The deadline to register for summer orientation is
