Furman Healthy Living

Our Student Health Services student organization P.H.O.K.U.S (Promoting Healthy Options through Knowledge, Understanding, and Service) is committed to peer education and providing opportunities for our community to get healthy and stay healthy. We’re a diverse group of students from all majors and backgrounds with one thing in common—a passion for educating others about health. We plan healthy eating workshops, on-campus fitness classes, drunk and distracted driving simulations, mental health awareness events, and an annual health fair. See our events calendar on OrgSync or follow us on Facebook for information about upcoming events.

Student Health Services works closely with various other Office within Student Life to help maintain and promote healthily living within the Furman Community. The Office of Alcohol and Drug Education coordinates a proactive, comprehensive approach to meeting student's health and wellness needs by addressing the dangers of alcohol and drug use/abuse. Also, the Office of Student Life has available a Student Success Coordinator to help students through the many transitional period during their time at Furman University. Please contact the Office of Student Life at 864.294.2202 to schedule an appointment.
