Speaker Tour Position 2014

I.) Speaker and Tour Temporary Position (Annual Campaign Department):

Description: Employee will schedule speakers from our partner agencies or tours of their facilities on behalf of the United Way for company workplace campaigns. This will involve communicating via phone and e-mail, documenting speaking appointments and sending reminders to both the company and the agency involved. This temporary position will also handle the evaluation process and assist with other tasks as needed. Process will be set up and ready to go upon arrival.

The work schedule for the Speaker and Tour Position is:

  1. June 9- July 18                           (20 hours per week for 6 weeks)              (120 hours)

    July 21 to September 26        (37.5 hours per week for 10 weeks)        (375 hours)

    Sept. 29– October 31              (20 hours per week for 5 weeks)                              (100 hours)

    Labor Day will be a paid holiday


    Employee will work half days Monday through Friday during the part time hours.


  2. Hours and Compensation for Annual Campaign (Actual pay based on hours worked):

    595 hours @ $9.50/hour = $5,652.50


    Summary: This United Way opportunity will offer the chance to learn about how the non-profit system works and supports each other in Greenville County. Weekly Event Crew Job Description

Description:  This position incorporates a variety of duties including, but not limited to the following:


·   Set up of event according to site map

    • Set up tents, tables, chairs, etc.
    • Set up inflatable/games area, as required
    • Movie screen/sound equipment, as required
    • Post event banners and signage
