This service is provided at no charge to students, faculty and staff. The first and last names of the addressee and the PMB # or department name must be written legibly on the mail piece. A return address for student mail is required in case the addressee is off campus for the semester. Faculty and staff - PLEASE DO NOT USE inter-office envelopes for student mail. Use an envelope that has your department name on it so we can return mail if the student is not here.
Campus mail received without the recipient’s first and last name and box number and a return address will be held at the Post Office Customer Service window for three (3) business days for the sender to claim it. If unclaimed after three (3) days, item(s) will be discarded.
Only commercially prepared and packaged food products can be placed in the mail boxes. No homemade food is allowed.
Sending cash through the mail is not recommended. The USPS and/or the Furman post office will assume no responsibility for its safety.
Use of campus mail for personal gain or operation of a business is prohibited. Please secure an off-site delivery address for your business merchandise.
Need a PMB number? Registers are located at the Post Office window during business hours for your convenience in locating student box numbers.
Visit your mail box! Unless arrangements have been made to forward your mail, please empty your mail box at least weekly.
Packages: Notification will be put in your mail box for large items. Bring your notice (required!) to the Post Office window to claim your package between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We are closed on weekends and staff holidays.
If you are unable to get your package during business hours, have a friend pick it up for you. Please call the Post Office during business hours at 864.294.2107 and tell us your name, mail box number, and the name of the person picking up your package. Give your package notice (required) to your friend to claim your package. We are happy to assist you with package retrieval. Just let us know your needs.
