Christmas Love Feast Celebration

Each year, in anticipation of Christmas, we transform Daniel Chapel with candlelit pew staffs and bright red poinsettias. In celebration of the season, the Office of the Chaplain, along with Chancel Choir, host an evening filled with festive music and Advent remembrances.
Based on traditions originating in the early Apostolic church, then later in the Moravian church, the Christmas Love Feast includes the serving of Moravian buns and coffee and the lighting of beeswax candles. As Scripture is read and the story of Jesus' birth is told once again, we gather to celebrate the greatest gift of all: the gift of God's love for us and our love for one another.
