Several members of the Furman women's basketball team traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala., last month to help an area that was ravaged by deadly tornadoes in late April.
Team members Teshia Griswold, Brigid Morrissey and Martha Robinson, assistant coaches Julia Huddleton and Garry Horton, and director of basketball operations Jermaine Brown joined members of Clemson's FreeWay Church to assist the United Way in clean up and restoration tasks in Tuscaloosa. The group departed June 23 and returned to the Upstate on June 26.
The Associated Press recently reported on the team’s trip, and the article appeared in USA Today.
