Former Presidential Advisor, Campaign Strategist Karl Rove to Speak April 18

GREENVILLE, S.C.—Karl Rove, former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush, will speak on the Furman University campus Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium

His talk, “Road to the White House,” is sponsored by Furman’s College Republicans.  The public is welcome to attend the event by paying $7 at the door, with proceeds going to the Furman College Republicans.

Rove served as Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush from 2000–2007 and Deputy Chief of Staff from 2004–2007.  At the White House he oversaw the Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Political Affairs, Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs, and was Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, coordinating the White House policy-making process.

Rove currently serves as a Fox News contributor and writes a weekly op-ed for the Wall Street Journal.  He is the author of the newly released New York Times Bestseller, Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight.  He has also written for such publications as the The Daily Beast, Forbes, Newsweek, Washington Post, and The Weekly Standard.
