Presidential aides are student leaders who assist and accompany the president during official events and activities on Furman's campus and at the president's home. The purpose for the organization is to serve as joint hosts with the president to promote pride and increase understanding of Furman University.
Become a presidential aide
Full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least their second semester may apply to become a presidential aide. Successful applicants will have a 2.5 grade point average or higher, will be enrolled in courses for the upcoming semester, and will possess excellent oral communication skills and poise while dealing with diverse groups of campus visitors. Applicants should also be able to attend a mandatory presidential aides training retreat, and have a desire to stay informed about events impacting the campus community as well as learning all facets of Furman University. To apply, students must complete an application and participate in a series of interviews. Applications are not currently being accepted.
