Forrest Stuart is presently Associate Vice President for Financial Aid at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Prior to joining Furman in August 2008, Forrest worked as Director of Financial Aid at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee for 8 years and in both Admissions and Financial Aid at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama for 11 years.
Forrest has served as President, Association Governance Chair, Conference Chair, District 1 Chair, and Governmental Relations Chair for the Tennessee Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA); he has served as Tennessee's state trainer for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA); and he served two years as the chair of the Membership Committee of the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA). He recently completed a three-year term as a regionally-elected representative to the College Board's College Scholarship Services (CSS) National Assembly Council, and he has been a CSS Assembly Council Representative for the Southern Region of the College Board.
Forrest is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership (Higher Education Concentration) at Clemson University. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Birmingham-Southern College and his Master of Arts Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama, where he was awarded the Outstanding Master's Thesis Award for Higher Education Administration.
He and his wife, Pam, have two daughters, one 16 years old and the other 13 years old.
