Scene shop
Interested in creating a 1930s classroom, or an old-west saloon? Our scene shop will give you all the tools you need to transport the audience to a new world. Located behind The Playhouse, our scene shop is a convenient and safe space for you to learn your craft. Our professors will teach you how to use the shop's power tools and other equipment to construct all kinds of scenery out of wood, Styrofoam and steel. Once the scenes are built, you'll use our full palette of dry, scenic pigments to create 3-D effects. To ensure your safety, our shop is always staffed by our faculty or staff.
The scene shop uses the following equipment:
