Requirements
To satisfy the requirements for the interdisciplinary minor in Latin American studies, students must complete the following courses:
1. Through SPN 201 (Intermediate Spanish I) or equivalent proficiency
2. LAS 470 (Issues of Latin America)
3. Three of the following courses, with at least two departments represented

New courses are periodically added to the list of courses approved for the interdisciplinary minor in LAS. In addition, some special topics courses, including those offered in conjunction with study abroad curricula, are also valid for LAS credit.

How to declare an interdisciplinary minor in LAS
Set up an appointment with Dr. Ching. Bring the above documents. We can fill them out together if you are still unsure about which courses you will use to satisfy concentration electives. After our meeting, you will drop the signed paperwork off at Academic Records.
