Student Organizations

Students majoring in Earth and Environmental Sciences have wide ranging interests and have opportunities to participate in several student-led organizational activities.  These include:

  Bartram Society (BAS): The Bartram Society is a student-led group that brings together individuals who share an interest in Earth and Environmental Sciences and Sustainability Science. It also promotes the enjoyment and conservation of the Earth and its precious resources.  To learn more about this society, please contact the faculty advisor Dr. Bill Ranson.
   
Furman in the Garden (FIG): Furman in the Garden (FIG)
 is a student organization focused on agriculture and food related issues both on and off campus.
   
Environmental Action Group (EAG): Environmental Action Group is a student-led, non-partisan group committed to environmental advocacy and education at Furman University.
